POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a talented and driven IP Litigation Associate to join our growing Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing complex IP litigation cases and a strong understanding of the nuances of IP law. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with experienced professionals and play a critical role in protecting and enforcing our clients' intellectual property rights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage all aspects of IP litigation cases from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, and engaging in discovery.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case status, discuss strategy, and manage client expectations.
- Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Work closely with technical experts, witnesses, and other stakeholders to develop and support litigation strategies.
- Engage in settlement discussions and negotiations to resolve disputes in the best interests of the client.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 3-5 years of experience in IP litigation, with a strong focus on handling office actions.

SKILLS:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and use of legal research tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Membership in the Patent Bar.
- Experience in both patent and trademark litigation.
- Technical background in science or engineering is a plus.
- Familiarity with IP litigation software and tools.
