Job Summary:

As a Manager in the SALT department, you will be responsible for providing property tax services to multi-state clients. This includes compliance, asset classification review and valuations, real and personal property tax consulting, property tax appeals assistance, bill review, and planning. You will also be involved in preparing presentations and proposals for new and existing clients and mentoring and coaching the engagement team.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships with existing and new multi-state property tax clients
- Review property tax returns and valuations thoroughly
- Analyze new legislative developments for tax saving opportunities and tax planning
- Assist with property tax considerations related to business restructuring and due diligence engagements
- Communicate effectively with clients and engagement team on work progress and expectations
- Prepare presentations and proposals for new and existing clients
- Mentor and coach the engagement team by providing training, feedback, and guidance
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues from various capabilities/service lines

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field from an accredited college or university
- CPA, CMI, JD, or LLM certification
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing property tax services
- Thorough knowledge of property tax laws, regulations, and procedures
- Ability to work closely with clients and effectively answer questions or collect necessary information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% to 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

- CPA, JD, or CMI certification
- Proficiency in PTMS and Microsoft products
- Organizational and time management skills

Compensation:

The salary range for this role represents various factors considered in the hiring process, such as education, skills, work experience, certifications, and location. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $97,200 - $183,700

Bonus:

Individuals selected for this role may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
