The Position:

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated attorney to join our Legal Department as a Corporate Counsel for AWS Products Legal. In this role, you will provide legal support for Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business within .

About AWS:

AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute, storage, content delivery, AI/ML, database services, and more. As a products counseling attorney, you will have the opportunity to work directly with business teams as lead counsel, advising on legal risks, regulatory compliance, privacy, security, IP, and go-to-market strategy for innovative cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies for AWS products and services
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters, privacy, security, and IP
- Draft and negotiate commercial licensing agreements
- Provide day-to-day input on business strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including privacy, security, marketing, and public policy

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Experience with technology, IP licensing and technology transactions, data privacy, cloud computing, or enterprise software systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound and practical business judgment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
