Law Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Bankruptcy Practice in Virginia or Maryland

Position: Associate Attorney

Location: Virginia or Maryland

Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing bankruptcy practice in either Virginia or Maryland. This position offers the opportunity to work with a prestigious legal group and immerse yourself in the day-to-day operations of our bankruptcy practice. While prior experience in bankruptcy law is not required, the ideal candidate must possess strong organizational and prioritization skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Reviewing bankruptcy pleadings and claims
- Managing routine bankruptcy matters
- Monitoring electronic bankruptcy filings
- Attending regular bankruptcy hearings
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and Trustees
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Intermediate to advanced-level computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and make recommendations
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently

Requirements:

- Law degree (JD)
- Virginia or Maryland bar license
- Prior experience in bankruptcy law preferred
