Overview:
As a Conference Services Representative, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down conference rooms, including catering services and furniture configuration. This role also involves maintaining supply inventory and equipment, as well as ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of conference rooms, service areas, and catering kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively plan setup and cleanup schedules based on daily reports
- Retrieve and deliver food and beverage services on a timely basis
- Set up and decorate serving areas for various events
- Determine appropriate linens, rentals, and supplies for special events
- Place daily catering orders and reconfigure furniture as needed
- Clean and maintain catering kitchen and storage areas
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Maintain inventory levels and order replacements as needed
- Inspect conference rooms and visitor offices for cleanliness and proper setup
- Report facilities issues to local office contact
- Uphold safety and sanitation standards
- Provide backup for audiovisual support
- Uphold Conference Services policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of related work experience
- Knowledge of food and beverage presentation and event space configuration
- Experience with corporate catering or banquet/wait staff experience
- Computer knowledge, familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, and reservation software experience a plus
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and move freely within the workplace
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
Salary Information:
- Chicago: $48,100 - $69,850
