**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Docket Assistant to join our team. As an AmLaw 200 firm, we are committed to innovation and diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position is available in any of our Atlanta, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, or Dayton offices.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and respond to docket-related emails within 24 hours
- Enter and maintain information in the docket software database
- Communicate with courts and agencies to obtain case status information
- Perform in-person runs to local courts and agencies for filings, research, and document retrieval
- Conduct electronic filing and online research
- Respond to audit letter inquiries and provide reports on pending litigation
- Obtain and return receipts for case-related costs
- Identify and recommend improvements to docket policies and procedures
- Provide backup support to the Docket Manager
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a law firm, specifically in docket or similar functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of docket and document management software
- Familiarity with the litigation process
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of civil procedure rules for state, federal, and municipal courts
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to handle tasks under pressure
- Flexible schedule, as needed
