Overview:

- Chartwell Law, a nationally ranked civil litigation law firm with over 200 attorneys, is seeking a motivated Paralegal with general liability experience to join our Boston office.

Responsibilities:

- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and discovery motions.
- Organizing, charting, and processing incoming records and invoices.
- Following up for outstanding records via phone, email, and regular mail.
- Managing a large caseload and working with multiple attorneys.
- Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege in preparation for disclosure.
- Conducting case law research using Lexis and public access websites to assist with defense strategies.
- Assisting with preparing attorneys for mediation and trial.
- Retrieving and saving documents in a document management system.

Requirements:

- 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
- Familiarity with MA courts, including e-filing.
- Billing experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Word.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Aderant Total Office (ATO) and Lexis Advance.
