Overview:

The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is seeking law school students to participate in its Internship Program during the summer of 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work in a nationally recognized municipal law office and gain practical knowledge and experience in municipal law and government affairs. The program is designed to help interns emerge as leaders in government and public-interest law, and interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of legal assignments under the guidance of experienced deputy city attorneys.

Responsibilities:

- Work on a variety of legal assignments under the direction and supervision of deputy city attorneys
- Participate in client meetings, trials, court hearings, depositions, and public meetings with city departments and officials
- Attend events, tours, and lectures organized by the office to provide an inside view of the important work required of lawyers for a city like San Francisco

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school
- Interest in municipal law and government affairs
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during the spring and fall, and a minimum of 20 hours per week during the summer
