Paralegal Duties: Collect, evaluate, maintain and monitor estate and trust assets, income, and expenses. Facilitate asset transfers and distributions. Prepare annual and final accountings along with all supporting documents. Compile tax information and prepare estate tax returns and gift tax returns. Draft estate planning documents.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Any satisfactory combination of experience and education is considered. 7+ years of Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal experience. Experience in drafting estate planning documents. Experience in Washington and California estate and trust administration is a plus. Knowledge of all aspects of estate and trust administration, including preparing and filing all probate and trust administration documents. Preferred computer skills: Microsoft office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook; Filesite; Intapp; Estate Works; Tax preparation software. Knowledge of GEMS is a plus. Ability to manage a matter from start to finish, independently and as part of the team. Excellent communication and writing skills. Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
