Responsibilities:

- Review and advise on marketing materials and content for accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
- Draft and negotiate marketing-related agreements and waivers/releases
- Assist with drafting terms and conditions and official rules for contests, sweepstakes, and promotions
- Build a streamlined system and develop policies for legal review of marketing copy and creative assets
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Tackle additional questions and tasks as needed

Requirements:

- 3-5+ years of relevant legal experience in both law firm and in-house settings
- Active membership in at least one . state bar
- Strong knowledge of marketing legal issues, including trademark and copyright protection, data and privacy issues, and consumer protection laws
- Previous experience counseling a marketing team in the tech industry
- Ability to educate and advise internal stakeholders on legal matters
- Strong business judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a small, growing team
- Sense of humor and professionalism

Salary Information:

- Starting base pay range: $207,610-$247,260 USD
- Actual salary may vary based on job-related factors
- Eligible for equity compensation and benefits
- Full-time, hybrid position based in San Mateo, CA
