Gibson Dunn, a prestigious global law firm, is seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Attorney to join our team in any of our . offices. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant transactions and disputes, crafting and deploying creative legal strategies for complex and high-stakes matters.

The Procurement Attorney will play a vital role in supporting the firm's procurement function by analyzing, drafting, and negotiating agreements with key vendors and third parties. This position also includes providing ad-hoc legal counsel to the procurement team and identifying legal and compliance issues and business risks.

Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Procurement Attorney will work closely with other members of the General Counsel's Office, the procurement team, and other internal stakeholders throughout the firm. This role requires strong negotiating and drafting skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities for this position include providing counsel to the firm and working closely with the procurement function on all aspects of contract drafting, negotiation, implementation, and compliance. The Procurement Attorney will also analyze, draft, and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements, collaborate with other departments and internal stakeholders, and identify and escalate legal and compliance issues and business risks presented by new and existing agreements.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) and a minimum of three years of experience as an attorney in procurement or contract law. A proven track record in negotiating and drafting complex agreements is required. Familiarity with cloud-based providers, artificial intelligence, and other technology solutions is a plus.

Gibson Dunn offers a competitive annual compensation range of $90-150k, depending on qualifications and other operational considerations. This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, retirement benefits, paid time off, parental leave, and discretionary, performance-based bonuses.
