Job Title: Associate Attorney
Experience:
- Ten years' civil litigation experience
- History of academic success

Responsibilities:
- Handling a substantial caseload of personal injury, construction defect liability, trucking/auto, products and premises liability cases
- Drafting pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda
- Conducting legal research and preparing responses to written discovery and dispositive motions
- Taking depositions of parties and experts
- Reviewing client documents and drafting case evaluations and status report correspondence
- Assisting with and participating in mediations and court appearances
- Attending informal and formal hearings at the Workers' Compensation Commission
- Interacting with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues, and staff
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with superb organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to handle a variety of cases and move from case to case
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office and navigating the internet

Litchfield Cavo LLP is seeking experienced Associate Attorneys to join our growing team in Houston, TX. Our premier insurance coverage and litigation defense law firm, founded on the principle of client service, operates out of 23 offices and serves clients in 36 states nationwide. Our attorneys are a resource of experienced trial attorneys providing creative and responsive service.
As an Associate Attorney with Litchfield Cavo, you will have the opportunity to handle a variety of civil litigation matters for nationwide clients. This includes personal injury, construction defect liability, trucking/auto, products and premises liability cases. Requirements:
- Ten years' civil litigation experience
