Job Title: 2L Technology Transactions Summer Associate
Job Responsibilities:
The 2L Technology Transactions Summer Associate is expected to engage in responsibilities that mirror those of junior associates. These responsibilities include:
- Writing legal documents such as contracts and client memoranda.
- Assisting in drafting and negotiation sessions.
- Performing due diligence in corporate transactions.
As a summer associate, you will work directly with experienced lawyers on substantive client matters. You will receive mentorship, comprehensive practice, and professional skills training. Additionally, you will experience the law firm's shared values, inclusive community, and diverse practice areas firsthand.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a full-time . program at an ABA-accredited law school. Additional requirements include:
- . citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.
- Geographical ties to the office where the candidate is interested in interviewing.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in the technology industry, sciences, and/or intellectual property law is preferred. Working knowledge of transactions in the global life sciences ecosystem, including areas such as biotechnology, digital health, telemedicine, diagnostics, and other life sciences, is considered an advantage.
Salary Information:
The compensation for summer associates is set to align with first-year associate salaries, which is $225,000 annually for the class of 2025. This compensation package may be subject to modification in the future. Health and wellness benefits and paid holidays may also be part of the compensation package.
