Job Description:
- Unpaid internship opportunity for undergraduate and law students during Fall or Spring semesters or Summer break
- Assigned to one of the Division’s Bureaus or supporting Units and Offices
- Supervised by a Detective or a Deputy Attorney General, with overall supervision by an Assistant Attorney General
- Exposed to various investigative aspects for the interdiction and prosecution of violations of criminal law
- Enhances undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice or related forensic or technical fields of study
- Exposed to various substantive areas of New Jersey criminal law
- Expected to have excellent legal research and legal writing skills (law students)
- Expected to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- Opportunities to observe and work with Detectives and Deputy Attorneys General in their normal job duties
- Attend the Summer Intern Brown Bag Lunch Program for speaking and training events
- Opportunity to express interest in specific Bureaus or geographical preferences, but no particular assignment is guaranteed
