Counsel, Corporate Governance and ESG Reporting - Job ID: R-1064062
Responsibilities:
• Managing Verizon’s compliance with domestic and international sustainability-related regulatory frameworks and preparing related disclosures.
• Partnering with subject matter experts to draft and publish strategic sustainability-related reports.
• Preparing and reviewing SEC filings and ensuring compliance with governance-related requirements.
• Monitoring and advocating for Verizon on sustainability-related legislative initiatives.
• Collaborating with various teams on reporting matters and facilitating communication with stakeholders.
• Creating a strategic plan for the future of Verizon’s sustainability-related reporting.
Qualifications:
• . or . degree with at least six years of relevant work experience.
• Bar membership in good standing.
• Experience in SEC disclosure at a top law firm or corporate legal department.
• Knowledge and understanding of sustainability-related reporting laws and frameworks.
• Experience with Workiva.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks.
• Strong project management skills.

Location:
• Hybrid role with defined work location including work from home and assigned office days per month.
• 40 scheduled weekly hours.

• Compensation range of $151, to $280, annually for full-time roles, with potential for additional incentives.

Join the V Team Life and become a Counsel for Corporate Governance and ESG Reporting at Verizon. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Verizon's compliance with sustainability-related regulatory frameworks and preparing related disclosures.
