Job Overview:
The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant State's Attorney to join the Narcotics Unit. This is a lateral position that requires a strong knowledge of law and court procedures, as well as the ability to handle a high volume of complex cases effectively. The ideal candidate will also possess strong research and drafting skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for victims and witnesses.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents, including briefs, motions, and legal memoranda
- Conduct interviews with witnesses to gather information and research relevant case law and codes
- Develop strategies and theories for effective case prosecution
- Coordinate case work efforts with other City and State agencies
- Perform related work as required
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in the State of Maryland with Circuit Court Trial experience
- Ability to pass a criminal background investigation, including fingerprinting
Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is $77,191 or higher, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications:
