Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on FDA regulations for consumer products containing hemp, functional mushrooms, and other novel ingredients
• Strategic guidance on compliance with federal and state laws
• Manage client interactions with regulators overseeing product development, manufacturing, marketing, and alcohol licensing
• Advise on pre-market strategies and regulatory matters for food, drug, cosmetic, dietary supplements, and alcohol products
• Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and review product packaging, labeling, and marketing materials for compliance
• Supervise associates and draft agreements related to regulatory requirements
Requirements:
• Juris Doctorate and bar admission
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in FDA regulatory compliance, with expertise in food and beverage law and alcohol licensing
• Understanding of FFDCA, FTC, and GMP regulations preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, DocuSign, and Clio preferred

• Office environment with indoor, environmentally controlled conditions
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of the time

As a Senior Associate Attorney at a top-ranked cannabis and psychedelic law firm, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and expand a regulatory compliance practice. The firm, known for its mission-driven approach and commitment to excellence in emerging industries, is seeking an FDA regulatory attorney with a portable book of business. This key role offers a competitive salary and benefits, and the chance to work with clients developing and selling consumer products containing novel ingredients such as hemp and functional mushrooms.
To be considered for this position, you must have a , along with a minimum of 5 years' experience in FDA regulatory compliance. Expertise in food and beverage law and alcohol licensing is required, and experience with FFDCA, FTC, and GMP regulations is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills are also essential for success in this role.
In this position, you will provide legal advice on FDA regulations related to product claims, labeling, manufacturing, advertising, and distribution for a variety of consumer products. You will also offer strategic guidance on compliance with federal and state laws, and manage client interactions with regulators overseeing product development, manufacturing, marketing, and alcohol licensing. Additionally, you will advise on pre-market strategies, act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, and supervise associates in FDA, FTC, TTB, and alcohol regulatory compliance work.
As a Senior Associate Attorney, you will also have the opportunity to draft and negotiate agreements related to regulatory requirements, including research contracts and supply agreements. Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, NetDocuments, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, DocuSign, and Clio is preferred.
