The Human Resources Manager at Hanson Bridgett Law Firm is a key member of the Talent team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR for the firm's five office locations in California. This role requires a strong client service approach, the ability to work independently on multiple projects, and a passion for learning and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional in-person meetings or visits to the office as needed.

As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in recruitment and talent acquisition, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new hires and handling personnel changes. You will also serve as a trusted resource for employees and management on HR policies and procedures, fostering a positive work environment by addressing and resolving any concerns or conflicts that may arise. Additionally, you will facilitate performance appraisals and support the development and implementation of training and development programs for professional staff.

In this role, you will also be responsible for developing and communicating HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will also assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and manage leaves of absence. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of HR projects and provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure successful delivery within set deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, with a master's degree or HR certification being a plus. You should have at least 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices is essential, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. You should also be highly organized with impeccable attention to detail and able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
