Attorney at Law The candidate will advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action. Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings. Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence. Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs. Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients needs after analysis. Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred. Required Juris Doctorate (.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years and a plus. Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must. Ability to complete thorough legal research along with persuasive writing skills to create winning arguments to support our client's positions. Ability to work within the client's budget while still being productive. Prior experience handling Family Law cases is required. While we may occasionally train the right candidate now is not that time. Working knowledge of Outlook and Office 365, use of calendaring and billing software. Must be available for in-person client and team meetings in our office, and for in-person court appearances in Sonoma County, as well as occasional appearances in Napa and Mendocino Counties.
