Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its team with a focus on automotive warranty litigation. This role primarily involves representing clients in California Lemon Law claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The firm is looking for a driven attorney with experience in automotive warranty litigation, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to handle complex legal matters independently.

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of automotive warranty cases, specifically California Lemon Law claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
  • Conduct depositions, argue motions, and represent clients in court hearings and mediations.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery requests, interrogatories, and other litigation correspondence.
  • Perform in-depth legal research and analysis and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Create status reports and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Review and analyze document collections for litigation purposes.
  • Oversee all aspects of litigation, from initial filings to trial preparation.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of litigation experience, particularly in automotive warranty and product liability matters.
  • Significant experience with California Lemon Law claims and related warranty legislation.
  • Familiarity with discovery processes, law and motion practice, and pre-trial activities.
  • Experience in both state and federal courts.
  • Strong academic background with proven legal expertise.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Exceptional academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
