The role of Counsel, Merchandising at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. is a highly collaborative and dynamic opportunity for an experienced attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will provide legal support for our merchandise and private brands departments, while also establishing key partnerships with business leaders within those groups. You will have the opportunity to work on complex business transactions, negotiate contracts, and provide legal advice to support the continued growth and success of our iconic brand.

As a Counsel, Merchandising, you will be responsible for providing legal advice on a wide range of issues related to merchandise and proprietary products, including contract review, drafting and negotiation. You will work closely with procurement, food/product quality, safety and regulatory, and marketing/communication teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to support the sale of merchandise in our 14,000 stores across the . and Canada.

This role requires a JD degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience, as well as admission to the state bar. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical drafting and negotiating skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Experience in consumer package goods and/or retail is a plus.

Some key duties and responsibilities of this role include:

- Providing legal support for 7-Eleven's merchandise and private brands departments, including contract negotiation and drafting, and general legal advice
- Collaborating with other business groups to develop practical solutions to business and legal issues
- Working quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment to provide practical legal advice to business clients
- Familiarity with franchise relationships, highly regulated retail products, retail promotions and funding, private label products, intellectual property matters, and regulatory requirements for product labeling, marketing and communications is preferred but not required
