Paralegal - Personal Injury The candidate shall have responsibility to support the attorney or attorneys working on the file for all non-attorney work. Open and manage the files (we are moving to almost exclusively electronic files). Build file under direction of attorney. Assist with client contact. Participate as invited by attorney in developing case strategy. Participate in investigation. Diary case statutes and deadlines. Coordinate insurance benefits (. PIP, health insurance and defense PIP). Identify insurance subrogation claims/liens (including Medicare). Assist attorney in preparation of discovery requests and responses. Format and file motions and other pleadings. Help with trial preparation and trial readiness tasks and post-trial judgments and pleadings. Assist attorney with settlement disbursement tasks including lien reduction negotiations.
