Job Responsibilities
The General Liability Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling all phases of insurance defense litigation. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing cases from inception through resolution, including case management, motion practice, and discovery.
- Handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
- Providing a defense for a range of property and personal injury claims, representing both businesses and individuals who may be insured or self-insured.
- Engaging in the litigation and trial of catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases.
- Collaborating with seasoned trial attorneys and partners within the General Liability Practice to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
Education and Experience Information
- Candidates must have admission to the Nevada Bar.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing skills.
- A minimum of two (2) to seven (7) years of experience in insurance defense litigation is preferred.
- Experience in all phases of litigation including case management, motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials is essential.
- While prior insurance defense experience is preferred, candidates with substantive litigation experience in other areas will also be considered.
