Full Time Sr Counsel Role in Cyber Security Field at TransUnion
TransUnion is hiring for a Sr Counsel role in the field of Cyber Security at various locations in the US including Chicago, Illinois; Alpharetta, Georgia; GreenWood Village, Colorado; Reston, Virginia; Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania; White Plains, New York; and Boca Raton, Florida. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $100, - $150, annually, based on factors such as education, experience, and market considerations.
Job Description:
TransUnion is a leading global information and insights company that helps businesses and consumers make more informed decisions. As a Sr Counsel in the Cyber Security field, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of TransUnion's operations and partnerships. This includes reviewing and negotiating security related matters in contracts, advising on relevant regulations and best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and support for new initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for addressing and resolving potential threats and vulnerabilities with TransUnion's Insider Threat, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response teams.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of information security risk assessment and management, as well as expertise in industry frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SSAE16, PCI, and ISO 27001/27002. A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and 4-6 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in a financial, insurance, or regulatory environment, is also required. Experience with transactional practices and a focus on information security is highly preferred. You should also have excellent communication and relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiate security related matters in TransUnion's partner and customer contracts
- Counsel the Global Information Security Department on relevant regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and support for operations and new initiatives
- Address and resolve potential threats and vulnerabilities with Insider Threat, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response teams
- Partner with the Global Compliance Department for security audits and compliance matters
- Provide advice to stakeholders, including the General Counsel, on changes in laws and legal issues related to the company's strategic operations.
