Conducting Research:
- Conducts detailed and timely legal and non-legal research, using electronic and print resources.
- Monitors court dockets, legislation, legal and business news.
- Assists in the compilation of legislative histories, jury research, and other projects.
- Provides research database training and assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and staff.

Document Management:
- Cite-checks briefs and other documents.
- Processes invoices and communicates with vendors to resolve issues.
- May perform routine library duties including cataloging and loose-leaf filing.

Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicates with all organizational levels and builds relationships.
- Contributes to a positive working environment.
- Works collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
- Demonstrates regular and reliable work attendance during assigned working hours.

Law Firm Research Specialist - Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience within a similar role, preferably in a law firm.
- Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of legal research databases and platforms.
- Working knowledge of library software, preferably EOS.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
