Associate General Counsel - Infrastructure & Telecom - Full Time

H2: Role Overview

- Key member of the Legal Infrastructure & Telecom team
- Provide strategic legal guidance on complex infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to navigate regulatory landscapes and mitigate commercial risks
- Responsible for advising on legal and regulatory requirements, negotiating and drafting agreements, and responding to government inquiries
- Ideal candidate would have relevant experience in advising on infrastructure and telecom issues, drafting complex contracts, and finding forward-thinking solutions

H2: Responsibilities

- Develop practical legal guidance for the Infrastructure team
- Advise on legal and regulatory risks associated with infrastructure and telecom services
- Draft and negotiate agreements for construction and use of fiber-optic and subsea cable systems, leases, and colocation agreements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external counsel to support global network initiatives
- Handle legal issues in existing commercial relationships

H2: Minimum Qualifications

- Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in a common law jurisdiction
- Experience drafting and negotiating infrastructure and/or telecommunications agreements
- Diligent, well organized, and able to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure
- Effective communication skills and commitment to professionalism and collegiality

H2: Preferred Qualifications

- Experience advocating for government entities on regulatory and policy matters

- $226,000/year to $304,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
- Individual compensation based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location
