Our Austin office is seeking 1L Coleman Fellows to join our team in the summer of 2025. As part of our 1L Coleman Fellowship program, fellows will receive a one-time award of US $5,000 to help cover tuition and law school expenses. The O’Melveny 1L Coleman Fellowship program is seeking highly motivated and talented law students to join our team in the summer of 2025. Fellows will receive a one-time award of US $5,000 at the beginning of the program to help cover tuition and law school expenses. This is a prestigious opportunity for students to gain valuable experience and support while working with a top law firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 10-week summer program at O’Melveny’s Austin office
- Work on challenging and meaningful legal projects
- Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced attorneys
- Attend networking events and social activities

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school
- Strong academic performance with special achievements and honors
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice or diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Excellent interpersonal skills

Application Requirements:

- Undergraduate and law school transcripts (or expected date of receipt)
- 300-word statement on how your experiences will help you RISE to the challenge of promoting DE&I at O’Melveny
- Top two office preferences

Selection Process:
- Candidates must submit application materials through our online portal between December 1, 2024, and January 15, 2025
- Finalists will be invited for an interview with the firm
- Finalists and Fellows will be notified on a rolling basis
- Fellows must accept or decline the offered Fellowship within one week of notification
