The Role:
- Director / Assistant General Counsel for Financial Services Legal Team in Plano, Texas
- Hybrid role with 3 days in office and 2 days virtual work per week
- In this role, you will provide strategic legal advice to the business on topics such as debt collection, customer communications, and vehicle repossession and auction
- You will work collaboratively with the Legal Department to identify and mitigate risks while promoting innovation and continuous learning

Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a law firm, governmental agency, or as in-house counsel

Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a law firm, governmental agency, or as in-house counsel
- 3+ years of experience in advising financial-services companies or advising on debt-collection laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to lead others
- Experience advising companies on regulatory compliance, including with UDAAP, the FCRA, GLBA, ECOA, and TILA
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams, make effective decisions, and collaborate at all levels of the company
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence others

Salary Information:
- Minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location
- Part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed upon hours
- Plano, TX: $205,400 - $234,400 for Director, Asst General Counsel
- Performance-based incentive compensation may also be offered
