Key Responsibilities:
• Work on all aspects of affordable housing transactional work from the local government and affiliated entity perspective
• Draft and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements related to affordable housing, including ground leases, corporate resolutions, operating/partnership agreements, and federally-funded loan documents
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on matters related to affordable housing and real estate, including housing tax credits, public housing redevelopment, and HUD programs
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and opinions on various real estate and affordable housing issues
• Assist with entitlement, development, acquisitions, and dispositions of real property
• Review and analyze legal documents and contracts, identifying potential risks and providing recommendations for mitigation
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop creative solutions to complex legal issues
Qualifications:
• Two to five years of experience in affordable housing and real estate law
• Licensed to practice in California or Texas
• Strong understanding of affordable housing and real estate laws and regulations
• Experience with housing tax credits, public housing redevelopment, HUD programs, and commercial real estate transactions preferred
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Information:
• Reasonably expected pay scale for this position seeking an attorney with two or more years of experience is $125,000 - $185,000
• Actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience
