Job Summary:
The Debt Collector position at Blitt and Gaines . is responsible for reconciling and collecting on accounts for the law firm. This role requires a strong knowledge of the collections industry, regulations, and legal processes. The Debt Collector will handle inbound and outbound calls, negotiate payment arrangements, and maintain accurate records of consumer accounts.

Responsibilities:

- Handle inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced environment
- Recover past due payments while providing excellent customer service
- Update consumer information and notate accounts
- Negotiate payment and settlement arrangements
- Verify consumer information
- Process payments and update banking information
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in consumer files
- Build relationships with consumers and attorneys to resolve accounts
- Comply with all legal requirements

Qualifications:

- Strong computer skills and ability to work with multiple systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Positive attitude, energy, and motivation
- Prior experience in a call center, collections, or sales is preferred
- Familiarity with FDCPA regulations is a plus
