Senior Business Development Manager - Intellectual Property Practice Group

Troutman Pepper Locke is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to serve as the strategic lead for our Intellectual Property Practice Group. This is a full-time position, available at our locations in Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, Rochester, and Washington, .

Responsibilities:

- Cross-selling: Focus on proactive cross-selling to existing and new clients, analyze data for opportunities, and execute cross-selling strategies.
- Client and Industry Teams: Manage assigned client and industry teams on an ongoing basis.
- Business Development Plans: Collaborate with lawyers to develop individual and practice group plans.
- BD Coaching: Work with lawyers to tailor their business development approach, track progress, and hold them accountable.
- Lateral Integration: Implement integration plans for lateral partners and their clients.
- Data and Research: Incorporate data and market research into growth strategies.
- Foundation: Ensure proper use of software and assist with onboarding new partners and practices.
- Events: Develop strategies for events and webinars, coordinate sponsorships and speaking engagements.
- Rankings and Recognition: Develop annual calendar and strategies for directory and award submissions.
- Pitches and Proposals: Develop compelling content and tailored pitch materials.
- Marketing Collateral: Update and develop practice collateral and maintain website content.
- Communications: Promote successes of practices, identify media and speaking opportunities, and oversee content tracking and dissemination.
- Marketing Campaigns: Identify and develop comprehensive strategies for key initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with intellectual property practices and subject matter expertise.
- Strong business development credentials, including business planning, coaching, research, and client development strategies.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, Asana, and experience management databases preferred.
- Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of business development experience, preferably with a law firm.

Compensation for this position is dependent on several factors, such as position, location, education, training, and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $160, - $180,.
