**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., Richter & Hampton LLP is seeking a skilled and experienced Patent Prosecution Practice Specialist II to join their team. This position is available in multiple offices, including San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Del Mar, Orange County, Downtown Los Angeles, San Diego, or Century City.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in patent prosecution and US filings, with a strong understanding of US life science patent rules and procedures. They must possess technical, organizational, and administrative skills to handle various duties and responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Collaboration with firm personnel at all levels is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support life sciences and healthcare IP attorneys, patent agents, and paralegals in all aspects of patent prosecution
- Assist with daily workflow, including conducting research, preparing and filing legal documents, and communicating with clients and government agencies
- Maintain accurate records and stay updated on US life science patent prosecution rules and procedures
- Handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a timely manner
- Collaborate with firm personnel at all levels
- Attend training programs and contribute to the overall success of the firm
- Proactively manage casework and assignments to ensure all deadlines are met
- Meet annual billable hours requirement
- Available to work during core business hours

Qualifications and Experience:

- 3-5 years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm
- Strong knowledge of US patent rules and procedures
- Experience with filing in USPTO Patent Center
- Ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Experience working with life science clients and US requirements for sequence listing submissions preferred

Education and/or Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree or some college preferred
- Substantial and relevant work experience

Computer/Software Knowledge:

- Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and Teams
- Experience with document management systems

Work Environment:

- Hybrid work policy - in office 3 days per week, remote work the rest of the week
- Overtime may be required
