Law Firm Seeking Experienced Financial Operations Analyst

Polsinelli, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team. Overview:

As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s financial operations and decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with attorneys to develop pricing proposals, evaluating historical data and trends, and providing insights to support pricing decisions. You will also have the opportunity to work with senior management to refine processes and implement new ideas.

Responsibilities:

- Follow the rate approval process and generate regular status reports on complex client pricing arrangements
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop pricing proposals and budgets, identifying pricing concerns and navigating challenges due to client requirements
- Evaluate historical data and trends to formulate alternative solutions for engagement, client, and matter profitability
- Assist in the development of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP) and provide financial/business impact to management and executive leadership
- Understand firm profitability models to provide scenario analysis and insights for pricing decisions
- Support the analysis of contingency fee cases, from initial assessment to monthly analysis against budgets/caps
- Build effective working relationships with cross-functional support departments and team members
- Work with all Finance & Accounting (F&A) functions to deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely service to attorneys and clients
- Maintain high levels of customer service and responsiveness for attorneys, clients, and staff
- Complete special projects on various issues as needed or when requested

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, MBA preferred
- 2-3+ years of financial reporting and analysis experience
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently and drive results
- Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, experience with SQL Reporting Services, Cognos BI, and SQL queries a plus
- Detail-oriented with a keen attention to quality
- Ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures

Compensation:

The budgeted salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000.
