This full-time position will report to the Director & Associate General Counsel and will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on employee benefits issues. The ideal candidate will have a . degree and at least 8 years of experience in ERISA, employee benefits, and health and welfare law. This role will involve advising on the design, implementation, and administration of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s employee benefits plans, as well as monitoring legislation, regulations, and case law in this area. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and be willing to travel within the US and possibly internationally as needed.
Salary Information:
- $198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
- Individual compensation determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location

Job Title:
- Associate General Counsel - Employment Law & Investigations
Experience Information:
- . degree and membership in at least one state bar
- 8+ years of ERISA, employee benefits, and health and welfare experience
- Preferred experience with OSHA, FMLA, and/or ADA counseling or litigation
- Experience advising on labor and employment matters, including compensation, payroll, and M&A
- Prior in-house legal department experience
- Experience coordinating and driving large-scale projects to completion
Responsibilities:
- Advise on design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits plans
- Draft and maintain plan documents, amendments, and summaries
- Negotiate and draft contracts with third-party administrators and service providers
- Provide legal advice and counsel on compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, such as ERISA, tax, HIPAA, and ACA
- Counsel fiduciary committees responsible for administering employee benefits plans
- Monitor legislation, regulations, and case law and provide proactive strategic advice
- Participate in training related to employment and benefit law matters
- Support audits, process reviews, and policy creation and implementation
- Facilitate process improvements and provide trainings as needed
- Flexibility to work extended hours and travel as needed
