Position Overview:
As the IP Paralegal at our law firm in Nashville, TN, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our attorneys in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Your main responsibilities will include coordinating domestic and international filings, managing IP portfolios, preparing and filing documents with the USPTO, and conducting legal research. We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual with strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating domestic and international filings with the USPTO and foreign counsel.
- Maintaining and managing IP portfolios, including tracking deadlines and ensuring timely filings.
- Preparing and filing documents with the USPTO.
- Preparing and recording Assignments.
- Corresponding with clients and foreign counsel.
- Maintaining electronic IP records and files.
- Processing correspondence from foreign counsel.
- Obtaining legalizations and certifications.
- Conducting research on national and international patent rights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with ABA paralegal certification or Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies, preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of paralegal experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients and colleagues.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to work moderate to heavy overtime.
