H2: General Purpose: Experienced Attorney Needed for Employment Litigation and Client Counseling
The Law Firm is seeking an experienced Attorney with at least 10 years of experience in employment related litigation and client counseling. This role requires the ability to handle employment litigation independently or largely independently, as well as advising clients on legal issues involving employees. The ideal candidate will also have some level of portable business and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Independently handle employment litigation and other client matters
- Prepare legal briefs and other pleadings
- Handle various aspects of employment related litigation, such as motion hearings, mediations and depositions
- Determine litigation strategy
- Respond to EEOC and MDCR charges
- Prepare trial material and handle or assist at pretrial, trial, and post trial proceedings
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in employment related litigation and client counseling
- Graduated from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible to promptly become admitted
H2: Skills and Experience Needed
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in employment related litigation and client counseling
- Ability to independently or largely independently handle litigation and other client matters
- Some level of portable business
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Experience in traditional labor matters a plus
H2: Education and Licensing
- Must be a graduate of an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible to promptly become admitted
