Global Chief Compliance Officer - $250,000 to $300,000 per year

As the Group Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of our compliance and ethics program, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations globally. You will also lead a global compliance team and liaise with regulatory bodies to report compliance matters. This is a key role within the Legal & Compliance team, reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Global Compliance Program, ensuring compliance with local requirements
- Provide expertise and advice on Compliance Risks
- Collaborate with business units and corporate functions to align business objectives with regulatory requirements
- Lead and develop a global compliance team
- Develop, implement, and maintain global compliance policies and procedures
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and breaches
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting of compliance matters
- Stay updated on global regulatory changes and advise the organization accordingly
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization
- Conduct internal investigations into whistleblower complaints and other conduct suspected to violate the Company’s compliance policies
- Ensure coordination with other key control functions, such as risk management, internal audit, and legal
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience at a multi-line re/insurance carrier in a legal or compliance position
- 5+ years in a leadership position
- Bachelor’s Degree required; ., advanced degree, or industry certifications preferred
- Experience working with and advising senior business leaders
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus within a global organization
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory environment and best practices
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively on group projects
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team-player attitude
- Highest level of ethics, integrity, and honesty
