Job Summary
As Senior Corporate Counsel, Product Legal at Okta, you will play a crucial role in building a scalable global Product Legal function. You will provide product counseling for Okta's global product portfolio and collaborate with key internal business and technology partners. This role will also involve supporting the introduction of new solutions and channels, ensuring production readiness, and addressing customer needs.

Responsibilities and Requirements
As a member of the Product Legal team at Okta, you will:

- Provide pragmatic and effective legal solutions that align with business objectives while mitigating legal risks
- Work closely with internal partners to support the development, readiness, and release of Okta offerings
- Support M&A activities, including diligence and integration
- Review, draft, and negotiate technology agreements related to Okta's product portfolio
- Ensure compliance with third-party agreements, open source licenses, security attestations, privacy policies, and government regulations and certifications
- Help develop and document scalable and repeatable practices and procedures for internal clients to access legal support
- Have at least 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years working on product matters at a law firm and/or in-house, preferably at a software/SaaS company
- Possess a strong understanding of cloud service offerings and architecture, as well as fluency in software development methods and related business models
- Be an expert in intellectual property, open source issues, and information and product security, with an awareness of data privacy issues
- Demonstrate sound and practical legal and business judgment, as well as the ability to think strategically and develop strong working relationships with key internal clients
- Have a wide and general knowledge of global laws that can affect product development and release
- Be self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and independently advise on issues related to product counseling
- Have experience drafting contract language and negotiating strongly preferred
- Be team-oriented with a sense of humor
- Have a strong academic background and be a licensed lawyer in good standing in the jurisdiction where you work and reside.

Salary Range and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between $176,000—$264,000 USD. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with applicable plans and policies.
