Evening Managerial Position at Intake and Assessments Bureau in Kew Gardens, NY is seeking experienced candidates to join their team. This is a managerial position within the Legal department and will involve supervising and managing attorneys and support staff. The role will also require training and development of team members, as well as overseeing projects and interfacing with other agencies and groups. This is a full-time evening position with some weekend and holiday work involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing IAB attorneys and support staff
- Training team on standards and burdens of proof and complaint drafting
- Developing and implementing training programs for new and senior TPA/Paralegals
- Providing direct supervision to TPA/Paralegals
- Monitoring individual performance and drafting evaluations
- Overseeing short and long term projects
- Interfacing with other agencies and groups
- Generating policy and statistical reports
- Maintaining schedules and timekeeping records
- Other relevant duties as determined by management
Qualifications:
- . degree and active member of the New York State bar in good standing
- Experience advising and training team members
- Experience working with other law enforcement agencies
- Felony jury trial experience
- Extensive knowledge of New York Penal and Criminal Procedure Law
- Strong understanding of criminal justice reform
- Thorough knowledge of Intake and Arraignment process
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
Salary and title will be based on experience, ranging from $99,000 to $175,000. Applicants must be United States citizens and New York State residents.
