We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Specialist in Capital Finance as part of our Commercial Banking Operations Division. In this role, you will lead a variety of pre-close activities for moderately complex to complex commercial loans, including coordinating all aspects of loan closings. You will review and negotiate complex legal documentation, evaluate risks, develop strategies to mitigate documentation risk, and identify procedural modifications. You will also serve as a liaison to business divisions, underwriters, prospective clients, insurance brokers, attorneys, banks, letter of credit contacts, and cash management contacts.
Some of your responsibilities will include organizing legal documents, internal documents, and post-closing items, as well as coordinating funding logistics for new financings, participations, and complex restructures. You will review cash management arrangements, modify cash management structures, and facilitate the issuance of letters of credit.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 4 years of commercial loan closing experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Law is preferred. Paralegal and/or finance experience is also desired.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. You should also have knowledge of Deposit Account Control Agreements (DACAs) and cash management systems, as well as the ability to read and understand complex loan documentation. Commercial insurance knowledge is a plus.
As a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Specialist, you will need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and independently. You should also have strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
This full-time position will require you to work at one of our approved job posting locations and have the ability to work a hybrid schedule, with at least 3 days a week in the office. The posting locations for this role are 1525 West W T Harris Blvd in Charlotte, NC and 5000 Riverside Dr in Irving, TX.
