Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire legal process, from investigation to trial, for moderately complex civil litigation and workers’ compensation matters
- Research applicable laws and develop appropriate legal strategies
- Establish and maintain relationships with claims representatives and insured clients
- Develop and render clear, unambiguous legal opinions and strategies
- Draft legal documents including pleadings and motions
Qualifications:
- JD degree
- Membership in the California State Bar
- Appropriate special licenses to practice before boards or federal courts preferred
- Minimum of one-year experience as an attorney
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with insurance law preferred
- Process-oriented mindset with ability to meet deadlines and stay organized
- Aptitude for detailed, analytical thinking
- Proficiency with technologies that facilitate remote work and reduce costs
