Job Title: Litigation Auditor
Department: Legal and Compliance
Location: Remote, Boston, Portsmouth, Plano
Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Information:

- Minimum Salary: USD $66,.
- Maximum Salary: USD $125,.
- Typical Starting Salary: $76,000 - $101,000

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting/Finance/Business) or equivalent experience required
- JD or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience (., insurance defense and/or claims management experience and/or legal bill review experience with proven litigation management and expense control experience)

Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with company litigation guidelines and protocols
- Develop and maintain knowledge of legal necessity for insurance defense work
- Assess law firm invoices for appropriate timekeeper levels and compensable time charged
- Collaborate with claims departments for effective cost control
- Utilize budgets, meetings, presentations, and claim file and document review to obtain claim strategy information
- Use auditing tools for data analysis
- Resolve appeals submitted by law firms
- Identify improper billing practices and make recommendations for necessary changes
- Make recommendations to management for policy modifications
- Maintain databases and reports on performance and audit compliance results
