Paralegal Responsibilities: Organizes and analyzes documentary evidence including medical records, reports, depositions, discovery, investigative, and other documents and summaries. Under attorney direction, drafts and prepares correspondence, pleadings, and discovery. Reviews, interprets, and prepares medical chronologies and summaries as requested. Prepares and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information. Monitors files and escalates issues requiring attorney involvement. Performs timely handling of highly sensitive issues and materials related to cases. Ensures organization of files including maintenance and management. Conducts research using online media for experts, background searches, case investigations. Communicates with witnesses, and experts as needed. Under attorney direction, drafts pretrial and trial documents including lists of jury instructions, exhibits, and witnesses; exhibits and trial binders; and proposed jury instructions. Proofreads personal work products. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or its equivalent. Paralegal certificate. 2+ years of prior civil legal assistant experience supporting litigators in civil defense. Knowledge of how to bill time. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong working knowledge of civil litigation and insurance defense work. Work ethic, diligence and attention to detail. Critical thinking skills, superior communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
