Paralegal Divorce & Family Law Firm The candidate will meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects. Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, Family Part Case Information Statements, certifications, and interrogatories; file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures. Interview clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements. Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve electronic case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings. Assist the divorce and family law attorneys by providing clerical and drafting support services including document preparation and review; case tracking and deadline management; interviewing clients and witnesses; research, investigations, and fact checking; Family Part CIS preparation; motion preparation; and trial preparation. Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases. Perform other related duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should preferably have 3+ years of Family Law Paralegal experience. Paralegal certificate or substantial experience in the field is required.
