Family Law Attorney The candidate will engage with clients to understand the facts of their case and goals of the client. Delegate tasks efficiently and effectively to the support team to move cases forward. Assess the urgency of situations and determine accurate and appropriate actions. Provide options and solutions to various legal questions. Review Family Law documents/pleadings; such as: petitions, summons, declarations (client, third party, attorney), parenting plans, child support orders, child support worksheets, responses, replies, motions, mediation and/or trial briefs/letters, trial preparation, etc.. Research case law, relevant statutes and court rules, court decisions, legal articles, and other writings. Attend hearings, status conferences, mediations and trials in King, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston County Superior Courts. Oversee discovery, draft court documents, and provide feedback to the team. Negotiate settlements. Comply with all legal standards and Rules of Professional Responsibility. Should have 3+ years of Family law experience. Washington State Bar License is required.
