Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as a Restructuring/ Bankruptcy Litigation Paralegal; will include traditional paralegal responsibilities including administrative case management and litigation support in addition to coordinating all aspects of document production, organizing and indexing documents, preparing files and exhibits, and assisting during depositions and trials. Will work closely with the attorneys and support staff to facilitate a seamless flow of information among the litigation team. Proactively assist attorneys with all aspects of the restructuring/bankruptcy process. May assist with maintaining and managing attorney calendar for court deadlines. Maintain positive contact & communications with clients, attorneys, and staff in a large law firm environment. Prepare legal and non-legal documents including. Bankruptcy pleadings (., Petitions, Schedules of Assets and Liabilities, Statements of Financial Affair, Pro Hac Vice Applications, Notice of Appearance, Proof of Claims, etc.). Electronic filing in all courts, including . Bankruptcy, . District, . Appeals Court, and State Court. Maintain schedules and calendars for multiple attorneys and cases. Organize and manage case documents. Maintain accurate and current information in the case management system, Best Case, and file management system, iManage. Meet client deadlines and adapt to industry changes. Ensure timely delivery of outgoing mail, messenger deliveries, overnight deliveries, etc. Ensure timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a heavy volume of email correspondence. Proofread legal documents as required. Provide support to attorneys in a high-volume, time-sensitive atmosphere. Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed. Should have 3+ years of bankruptcy litigation paralegal experience. Solid understanding of the bankruptcy process and procedures including the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedures, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Kentucky Rules of Procedure, and applicable Local Rules with considerable knowledge of legal terminology. Proficient in the Best Case software and electronic filing; excellent computer/technical skills and effective communication skills are a must; attention to detail with superior proofreading skills; proven as a positive team player as well as an independent worker; ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
