Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Special Counsel to join our team in our Washington, DC office. This is a non-partnership track position with an 1,800 billable hour requirement. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience handling corporate legal matters, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, corporate governance matters, and other business transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide range of corporate legal matters, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, corporate governance matters, and other business transactions
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic legal advice
- Collaborate with other attorneys and team members to deliver exceptional results for clients
- Manage and mentor junior associates and staff as needed
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum of six years’ experience practicing corporate law
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in Washington, DC
- Excellent academic credentials and references
- Strong understanding of corporate legal matters and transactional work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $225,000 to $350,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
