Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP (Skadden) is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join our prestigious law firm in New York. This is a full-time position with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. As an Executive Assistant, you will provide support to partners, counsel, associates, and staff attorneys, and assist with administrative tasks and client services.

The Opportunity
As an Executive Assistant at Skadden, you will handle administrative tasks, anticipate attorney needs, and assist with new business development. You will also have the opportunity to work with various departments and support services, and participate in special projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work well independently and in a team, and a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing phone calls and mail, maintaining calendars and time records, and preparing expense reports.
- Anticipate attorney needs and offer solutions to potential issues.
- Assist with new business processes, including preparing engagement letters and updating client/matter lists.
- Utilize tracking charts and applications to keep records up-to-date.
- Work with Client Accounting (Billing) department to ensure accurate client billing.
- Assist in promoting business development through activities and maintaining contacts.
- Prepare complex travel arrangements and assist with visa requirements.
- Delegate work to other departments when necessary and ensure its accuracy.
- Perform other support services, such as printing, scanning, and hand-delivering packages.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Adhere to professional standards and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Manage firm resources responsibly.
- Comply with firm operations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years' experience in an office environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of relevant computer software programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team.
- Ability to synthesize information and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive matters.
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work as needed.

Salary Details
The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range of $90,000 - $100,000, based on skills, experience, and other job-related factors. Actual salary will be determined consistent with applicable law.
