- Salary Information: The disclosed range estimate for this role is $119,490 to $272,090, and may be further adjusted based on factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Eligible candidates may also participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.

Position Summary:

The Tax Senior Manager - Real Estate Tax will be responsible for providing compliance and consulting services to clients in the Real Estate industry, including Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships. This role will involve utilizing tax technologies, managing client relationships, and overseeing complex tax compliance and consulting projects. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff and work with a strong support system from firm leadership.

What You'll Do:

- Provide federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the Real Estate industry sector.
- Assist clients with life events for partnerships, such as formations and mergers, and perform basis computations and Schedule K-1 processing.
- Use proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes and achieve worldwide compliance.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
- Advise clients on various tax issues, including REIT Qualification, Tax Reform impact, business restructuring, and tax controversy.
- Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state-of-the-art technology and data analytics.
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, providing leadership and guidance on work/life fit.
- Perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires co-locating in person 2-3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for work and client needs.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of total corporate or international tax experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Active accreditation such as CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for work and client needs.
- Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, LLM) preferred.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated management experience.
