Responsibilities:
- Assist state and local governments in defending gun safety laws
- Research and draft amicus briefs on Second Amendment and constitutional challenges
- Conduct legal and historical research and produce scholarship and educational materials
- Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term Second Amendment strategy
- Collaborate with state attorneys general, city and county attorneys, and national and local law firms
- Coordinate litigation and amicus strategy with other interested parties
- Participate in interviewing and supervising legal interns
- Engage in public speaking and presentations on gun violence prevention
Qualifications:
- Strong legal analysis, research, writing, and editing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to explain complex legal concepts to both legal and non-legal audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to social justice and interest in gun violence prevention law and policy
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team and other lawyers
- Experience working with marginalized communities and survivors of trauma is a plus
- Strong work ethic, sense of humor, flexibility, creativity, and professional demeanor
- Second Amendment experience not required

Everytown Law is seeking a creative, thoughtful, and public-spirited attorney to join our team as a Constitutional Law Fellow. This full-time, 2-year position offers a competitive salary range of $87,500-$90,000 per year, depending on experience. As part of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Support Fund, the education, research, and litigation arm of the nation’s leading gun violence prevention organization, our team is dedicated to advocating for common-sense gun safety laws and reducing gun violence in our communities.
As a Constitutional Law Fellow, you will have the opportunity to participate in the development of constitutional doctrine at a pivotal moment, following the Supreme Court’s major Second Amendment decisions in NYSRPA v. Bruen and United States v. Rahimi. You will work closely with our Second Amendment practice, defending life-saving laws against constitutional challenges and producing independent and rigorous legal scholarship on gun violence prevention issues.
We are looking for a candidate with a . degree and outstanding legal analysis, research, writing, and editing skills. Clerkship experience is a plus. You should have a strong commitment to social justice and a passion for Everytown's mission of preventing gun violence.
